Review of Dial M for Murder (1954) by Sam B — 20 May 2008
A running-th-paces Hitchcock thriller, that suffers from a claustrophobic single set (failing to provide the innovative flair of Rear Window, or even Rope), lacking interesting characterisation and a failure to provide the suspense it promises in the overlong exposition scene.
A blip on the Master's otherwise flawless decade.
