Review of Diamonds Are Forever (1971) by Josh M — 29 Jun 2017
You know what, this was the best walk-the-line between crazy and fun action James Bonds been so far for me. There's just enough humor and insanity (Dopplegangers with evil cats? Cassette tapes save the day? Evil acrobatic women named Bambi and Thumper? Fake moon set and casual radiation exposure? Just straight up throwing Lana Wood out of the window??) to even out the testosterone. I also loved Jimmy Dean as the Vegas mogul. Definitely one of my top for Connery.
EDIT: Oh man I just noticed nobody else likes this one? Upping to 4 stars for sure now. Thunderball and Diamonds Are Forever, people. Screw your serious James Bond feelings.
