In all respects, this is not as entertaining as the previous three diary of a wimpy kid movies. But that doesn't necessarily make it a bad movie. There were some good moments, such as the carnival scene, and it's consistently faithful to the original moments of the book.
And the cast, despite being new to my marginal dismay, gave out some decent performances. This seems to be a little like Dennis Quaid's Yours, Mine, & Ours, but after all, I'm not slamming it.
