Review of Die Another Day (2002) by Jeff H — 31 Dec 2011
This is a great addition to the James Bond series. There is some unnecessary CGI but the good quality action and thrills more than make up for that. Pierce Brosnan is always exciting and funny as Bond and the gadget use is less relied on then other Brosnan movies.
The plot also involves Bond going rogue and trying to find someone that betrayed him on his mission in North Korea. This is also the 1st James Bond movie I saw and thats probably part of why I like it so much.
John Cleese is a good replacement for the role of Q and Judi Dench does a great job at playing M. The villain is better then in some other Bond movies. And if that is not enough there is always Halle Berry who delivers as always.
This movie also features villains played by Toby Stephens ( Space Cowboys, Napolean) Rick Yune (The Fast and The Furious) and Rosamund Pike (Surrogates, Doom).
