I find it particularly amusing how QT can take a delicate sinister subject like slavery in the 19 Century and turn it into a unique, to some extent poetic story.
That being said its creative dialogue and pacing with near perfect casting (particularly Christoph Waltz) make Django an unabashedly crazy experience.
Charming cinematography and writing are like cherry on top of what already is a substantively creative movie.
However the movie does take its time, and wanders off to a wide expanse of geographic locations which might receive mixed opinions, nevertheless I did not mind it.
In addition to QT's dialogue heavy set pieces there are particularly silly moments like the gathering of KKK or QT speaking in an Australian accent.
Placing his story in the South rather then the Wild West cough my eye because QT purposefully prohibits some of the backlash he received.
On the whole Django truly is a radical cinematic experience.
