The first Dr Strange was by far my favorite Marvel movie. This sequel is a terrible disappointment. None of the smarts of the original carried through, nor the fantastic visuals. The story is trite, the acting acceptable, the CGI at times painfully 1970ies.
It's very much "Sam Raimi made another movie, he's milking all his tropes and we don't think anyone will care about the characters and lore being butchered in the process". Ultimately, this is one of Kevin Feige's rare misses, he really shouldn't have gone with this choice of director.
