Review of Don't Look Up (2021) by Perseus69 — 24 Dec 2021
I seriously do not know what is going on with the movie industry. If our civilization should be judged by the quality of movies and tv series, we would totally deserve an extinction-level event. The topic of our collective stupidity in front of an imminent disaster is so important that a badly executed satire is probably not the best way to talk about it.
The basic rules of directing are so broken that, if not for the cast, it would look like a mediocre student-grade movie. The soundtrack is always much louder than the actors' voices, making it hard to follow the dialogues, and it is terrible.
Overall: forgettable and childish.
