Review of Don't Worry Darling (2022) by Unclewillard — 25 Oct 2022

Not sure if I'm going to watch this as it just looks like a sloppy remake of the Stepford Wives. What I will say though is that I think the drama around it was manufactured. I have no evidence, but there seems to be a trend that lackluster movies (probably determined by early screenings) tend to have pre-debut controversy surrounding them.

I can't help but think this is a marketing strategy. Really, who **** cares if Florence Pugh voiced her concerns about working with Shia Le Beouff? Or how Olivia Wilde handled it (sounds like she tried to placate everyone to get her movie made; or as I call it "the director's **** job.

") All designed to put an excuse in place for when the film bombs, which it appears this is doing.
