Review of Don't Worry Darling (2022) by Mauro_Lanari — 28 Oct 2022
(Mauro Lanari).
Someone should explain to "Thirteen" the difference between alternative society ("Westworld" [Crichton 1973], "Logan's Run" [Anderson 1976], "The Village" [Shyamalan 2004], "The Circle" [Ponsoldt 2017], "Midsommar" [Aster 2019], "Vivarium" [Finnegan 2019], etc.) and virtual reality (the Putman of "Brains in a vat" [1981]) and therefore "The red or the blue pill?" from "The Truman Show" to "Pleasantville" and "The Matrix"), as well as that between feminism and misandrist "woke" propaganda. Carving out the only role of executioner in her opinion that can be saved ("It was my decision as a mother, to relive with my children"), together with the faithful screenwriter Katie Silberman she signs an ignoble 3rd act.
