B level acting if that. The 90s flashback in modern day idea was about the only thing this movie had going for it. Otherwise completely derivative, terrible direction, poorly written. Arrogant as if viewers were coming to revelations about race and culture for the first time.
Seems like at Sundance it was one of those everyone was supposed to like. Disappointing.
