Review of Downsizing (2017) by J D — 08 Jun 2018
Hong Chou is the best part of this film. Great concepts, Good acting. Could have been better as a trilogy or mini-series. Good job overall. Worth a few viewings.
Marketed terribly. This is not a comedy. I have no idea why Kristan Wiig is even in this. She's the worst part.
It takes a long time to get to where the story is going but it's a satisfying conclusion.
Not an SJW leftie cluster-fk of environmental madness as the marketing suggested.
I probably would have seen it in the theaters if it was marketed correctly.
It's an introspective piece on what it means to be human. Very nicely done as well.
