Review of Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) by Andrew M — 04 Jul 2018
What I like best about this satire movie is the sense of reality and even though he movie was full of some funny moments, I was still able to see the reality part of the movie because this does go to show what could've happened if the Cuban Missile Crisis took a turn for the worse.
Kubrick manages to answer a lot of what if questions in this movie while still being able to deliver possibly the smartest satire movie I've ever seen and it amazes me. If only there existed more movies like this as of today, movie culture and the movie industry would be a lot different today.
Even if you're NOT a fan of Kubrick's obscure films, you still should see this movie because despite me seeing the funny parts of the movie, I could most definitely see the reality within this film which makes it all the more interesting to watch.
