"Anyone who looks at the rest of this is gonna see that something happened, but no one's gonna be able to figure it out".
"Make it so convoluted that anyone can have a theory but no one's got the facts".
William Monahan, Andrew Bovell or whoever wrote these lines into the script, truly understands that this is how influential people can get away with crime and corruption in real life - By turning it into something that sounds like a far-fetched conspiracy and make the accuser look paranoid or insane. Guess what... it really does happen, though not usually with so much violence and bloodshed.
For this concept alone, I give this movie 5 stars.
