Review of Edge of Tomorrow (2014) by Filipe C — 02 May 2018
I found Doug Liman's Edge of Tomorrow to be a huge surprise, a film very close to being a blockbuster masterpiece. In what can be best described as Groundhog Day meets Starship Troopers, Edge subverts the tropes of the genre to offer a fresh take on a familiar concept.
Anchored by an inventive and consistently gripping script, and led by the hugely charismatic Cruise, Liman's film never ceases being a fun joy ride!
