Review of Elvis (2022) by Saimariejohnson — 24 Jun 2022
The presentation of facts and truth is on point and it's actually one I can say they did a great job on showcasing how Presley Enterprises was used and also how black culture and music influenced Elvis in a way that made him an ideal person for challenging racism and segregation issues.
They gave full credit to the original creators of everything he did and how it worked with him and his relationship dynamics with each of them.
And, of course, many people believe that is why Lisa later married Michael Jackson. Undoubtedly, black music and culture was the heart of what made him succeed but his own soul and how he connected with music without consideration to skin color or the government's politics was genuine. He set a stage for a lot of rebellion at a time that was crucial in history. I fully recommend the film.
