What a performance from Austin Butler, he truly channels Elvis here. It’s amazing, a true Oscar worthy performance. Tom Hanks is amazing as usual. The film is loads of fun and gives audiences a ‘greatest hits’ of Elvis’ music catalogue, while peppering in some modern day songs.
Worth seeing for the performances alone. Some critiques are the film’s length and Baz Lurhmanns directing style, although great, can become exhausting after a while.
