A very good example of "diversity" done right: she has her own character and personality, and does not **** on anyone in order to be "better" than everyone else. She still needs help from Sherlock and her "boyfriend" but she also has major contributions on her own.
Same goes for Watson: I don't care if he's black if it will have a place in the story. I could bet that he will because they did the same with Moriarty being a black woman. It was totally fine and made complete sense in the story.
More movies should learn from this approach. Easily a 10.
