Escape From L.A. is easily the craziest and most confused movie I've ever seen. I have no idea how to describe it... for all I know, it's amazing. It could be terrible. After only having seeing it once, I just can't say for sure how good it is.
It's extremely weird and unpredictable, and sometimes it works, and most of the time it doesn't. It feels like a strange and, quite frankly, kind of stupid choice for Carpenter- the original Escape movie was decent at best, and it certainly didn't need this whacko sequel with a bunch of random crap just happening all over the place.
Escape From L.A. has no idea what it is trying to be. But I can tell you one thing: it's hella weird.
