This is the perfect film. Daniels have masterfully combined every genre into one movie about the importance of family and self-love. There are laughs, there are tears, and there are gasps. No other motion picture has sent me soul-searching the way that EEAAO has.
So much of this film relies on Michelle Yeoh’s performance, and she delivers in every way. There are moments on screen in which Yeoh is literally opening her heart in front of our eyes, and that is a powerful thing to depict on film.
