Cronenberg never seize to amaze me. His way of making these twisted universes with really strong characters is, well, astaunding. eXistenZ is, like Videodrome, a movie that questions reallity, while at the same time questioning a trend in society.
Videodrome critizised our television addiction. eXistenZ critizises the way people live through computers and games, something that has become increasingly relevant with the arrival of games like World of WarCraft.
Not Cronenberg's best movie but certainly his most relevant.
