Personally I give it high marks. It's a niche sci-fi for a niche audience like me that like Blade Runner type AI sentience stories. It's essentially the Geth and Quarian war from Mass Effect. Also, you all do realize he's a robot right? Emotions are not their strong suit.
Especially when they are AI trying to learn, being hunted while trying to learn, and then erased that they are robots. The semi-emotionless makes sense to me.
