Review of Eye in the Sky (2015) by Matthewakalusi — 17 Jun 2017
Eye in the Sky explores the contentious issue that is drone warfare. The plot focuses on the activities of Col. Katherine Powell (Helen Mirren) of British Military Intelligence who with cutting edge technology (the centerpiece of which is the drone), has obtained actionable intelligence on the whereabouts of two British citizens who have aligned themselves with a terror group operating in Kenya.
To use the intelligence, Col. Powell along with her Superior Officer, Lt. Gen. Frank Benson (Alan Rickman) have to navigate the delicate intersection of national security, politics, law and morality. This is a taut movie with high drama which will keep you watching from beginning to end.
