Review of Eye of the Devil (1966) by Julia M — 13 Nov 2007
I like this movie. It has a lot of famous folks in it: Deborah Kerr, David Niven, David Hemmings (Blow Up), a young Donald Pleasence (Halloween, THX-1138), and, of course, Sharon Tate, acting well in a role as an occult witch.
The movie is good black & white atmospheric gothic thriller, with hints of Wicker Man-type stuff. Lots of scenes of black robed black magicians prowling forests outside castles. Interesting camera work on some scenes. Tate looks great; I think her voice was dubbed but some say it wasn't.
