Review of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) by Michael G — 23 Nov 2018
After reading numerous reviews from both critics and audience alike, I headed out to the local Cineplex and was expecting to see a rather lukewarm offering served up by Yates and Rowling. To my surprise I found this movie to be an incredibly deep and probing look at what it means to be an outsider and to be alienated in a world that appears to have no place for you.
Handled with a deft touch and a flair for the visual, David Yates delivers a powerful movie that in the end touches those that are open to give pause and consideration to the subject at hand. I think this is a superb movie, but fear that in a fast paced, distracted world that is ever looking for a new sensation that it will be widely misread aond overlooked as an excellent movie.
