Review of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) by Adam P — 30 Nov 2018
A top to bottom failure. The Crimes of Grindlewald fails to connect at even the most rudimentary level with its own characters let alone the audience. Dave Yates has to shoulder the majority of the blame on this one.
Absurdly poor editing and special effects shots mire this drably filtered and caustically lazy film. The only cast members who appear to be game in this one are Deep, who gives a surprisingly good performance, Zoe Kravitz who at least tries to be dynamic.
The rest of the cast seems uninspired and lost.
