Review of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) by Steven B — 17 Dec 2018
I had to go twice to really get this one. It is the middle installment of a trilogy prequel to the Harry Potter Universe. While there is some roll over for the HP movies, it is mostly separate. It is a much darker place than the Harry Potter at Hogwart's movies.
The acting here is very good although I get the impression that Johnny Depp only has one approach to a role no matter what it is about. The CGI and effects are great and it fills in many parts of the Harry Potter story.
The first time I did not care for it, the second one I enjoyed. So there you go.
