Review of Far from the Madding Crowd (2015) by Nickthecritick — 28 Apr 2022
The Danish director chases the sunsets and the rainbow, venturing only a few more expressive frayed shots in the foreground area, taking care of the pictorial quality of the long shots, perhaps he thought of shooting a tale of eternal romanticism with a modern hand, but he built a castle without secret, cloying to say the least.
Unfortunately, acting doesn't work in this movie either, with the exception of Carey Mulligan who does what she can but alone can do very little.
