Review of Finding Dory (2016) by Nolan L — 02 Jul 2018
Have you ever come across a movie that you wanted to like so badly but for some reason you didn't? That's how I feel with Finding Dory. I liked most of the stuff about it, but something in the movie just didn't click for me.
The storyline was slightly inferior to the first, but that can be expected in a sequel. The movie blends emotional parts with humor pretty well, but the humor is hit or miss, split about 70/30 really funny to "why did they put that in there?".
The dialogue wasn't great, with quite a few clichés. The tone of voices that the actors used were out of place noticeably some times. In other words, bad acting in an animated film, no easy task.
Finding Dory is an okay film that was decent, but from PIXAR standards, a real disappointment.
