Review of First Man (2018) by Brian C — 11 Oct 2018
It was 80% riveting with camera work that made me feel like I was in a helmet right next to Neil and Buzz. Ryan Gosling was stellar. Pun intended. There were a few moments in the personal story that dragged a bit.
It could have been 20 minutes shorter and I was a little restless in the front half of the second act. The sense of loss throughout and accomplishment at the end were visceral. Worth it!
