Review of First Man (2018) by Alexander H — 11 Oct 2018
A different and intriguing take on familiar events that is unfortunately hamstrung by truly dreadful camera work in at least half of the movie. Thought it might be "artistic," it's hard to appreciate story while fighting nausea from the shaking, zooming in and out of focus, and rapid zipping from spot to spot.
The last half hour was riveting, and I would have loved to be able to keep my eyes open through more of the movie.
