I was old enough to live thru all the events. Good: effects were tremendous. I was worn out after trying to fly along with neil. Not so good: Neil was a test pilot, energized midwestern individual. I don't believe gosling's portrayal was anywhere near accurate.
On the flag issue everyone is so concerned about, as a conservative, I saw plenty of flags, plenty to be proud of as an american. Not a total rah rah patriotic movie, but acceptable.
