Review of Flight of the Phoenix (2004) by Sam J — 16 Jun 2018
Although not as good as the character driven original, it's not bad for a library rental on a Sunday afternoon. The language isn't bad, the whole story of rising against your obstacles is admirable, and the can-do message of the story is certainly one to keep in mind these days.
I thought they could have done better to plug some of the plot holes, (working on a metal airplane during the heat of the desert, coming across gun runners and not using their things) but it's easy to not analyze the story too critically and just pop the popcorn and enjoy.
