Despite being a fan of the original, this remake isn't great. The main issue is the lackluster charm and chemistry between the leads. The girl especially comes off very unlikable. And if you're not invested in their relationship, you're not interested in the movie.
The dance scenes are admittedly fun and the movies saving grace.
