Review of For a Few Dollars More (1965) by Chris B — 31 Jan 2012
Sergio Leone and Clint Eastwood reunite for the second of the Man With No Name trilogy and this one takes all the good of the first film and amplifies it with a script Leone himself thought up! "For a Few Dollars More" teams up Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef as two bounty killers out for the same bandit, each for their own reasons.
First of all, the film picks up after the first film and continues the exploits of the "Man with no name" and is filled with amazing set pieces and beautifully choreographed gunfights throughout an original take on the revenge motif.
The film is filled with great and truly stylish sequences and filled with witty and cool dialogue. Clint Eastwood as the quiet drifter and Lee Van Cleef as the brother out for revenge both do a terrific job in giving depth to their characters and make this an even more intense film than the first in the trilogy.
