Review of Force Majeure (2014) by James P — 14 Nov 2014
OK, I'll admit right up front that any movie set on the slopes of Les Arcs in the French Alps is already a winner in my book, but this is actually a really terrific movie, exploring just how well a young wife and husband know each other, or not.
When Dad doesn't measure up in a moment of crisis, Mom's left to wonder whether she can rely on him at all. And when confronted by his own shortcomings, Dad starts to doubt if he really is the man he wants to be or, perhaps, thinks he should be.
It's been along to ensure since there has been a movie exploring what it means to be a man. And this one may leave you with more questions than answers.
