Review of Free Fire (2017) by Brian M — 20 Dec 2017
Free Fire surprised me. It is a simple premise, with an amazing script, great acting and some morbid subtle humor. The movie takes place in real time and really makes the audience feel the brutality of the situation.
It isn't an emotional movie, you don't even really get attached to the characters, but the incredible cast is devoted to each and every moment. You don't go along for the ride, you more-so are looking in and observing.
Free Fire is definitely a unique comedy, but one that stand out as an impressive showing of writing and acting prowess.
