Matthew McConaughey did an excellent job bringing to life this incredible story. It was excellent because it brought to light some not so know controversial issues that the south had to deal with during and after the civil war.

And all the while telling a great historical story. Great movie I would definitely watch again and even go as far as nominating it for the Academy Awards and would be a shame if it didn't take home at least a few.
