It's a fairly simple plot in the main, but it's a very well made film with plenty of poise when dealing with the issues of illegal immigrants into the US from Mexico. It deals with people as people throughout, with a key emphasis on treating people individually as oppose to the macro issue at hand, and it's a wonderful piece of cinema for it.
