How understanding kevin hart is in this movie makes not down to earth james king (hedgefund manager arrested for a crime he didnt commit) funny. when he first meets kevin hart will ferrell becomes scared because he isnt comfortable around black people and he tries to play it off. however the chemistry between the two actors makes the scene seem more like a misunderstanding then it otherwise would have. will ferrell is basically playing the same character hes played in a thousand movies. he seems like a much zanier not down to earth version of his character from stranger than fiction. kevin hart really makes this movie but will ferrell interactions with the crenshaw kings are actually pretty amusing.
