Review of Ghost in the Shell (1995) by Michael C — 27 Dec 2014
I'm very selective of the anime I choose to watch as I've been underwhelmed by some of the offerings with more mainstream appeal. But knowing this was a classic of the form I gave it a chance and overall was pleased to find a highly inventive sci-fi tale.
The pacing is a little slow but when the film is in action the visuals are solid, and the story, while slightly convoluted, is nevertheless engaging and smart.
