Review of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011) by Gerard V — 17 Jul 2018
Ummmmm. ummmm. surprisingly kind of awesome. I don't even know why I watched the second after giving the first a 0.5 and calling it a joke of a movie. but I did, assuming I would just laugh at how dumb it is.
turns out this movie is leaps and bounds better than the first movie. like a thousand times better. like better in every conceivable way. don't get me wrong, it's still not an overall well-made movie.
and there is lots of bad in here. but there is some really awesome awesome in here. lots of badassness. he is a beast. he looks a gigbillion times cooler than in the first one. instead of looking fake and like a cartoon, it looks dark, real, scary, and badass.
his bike looks awesome. he can actually get hurt. the way his human self is dealing with it is much more intriguing. the movie also has characters you root for. and you wanna hear the best difference between this and the first? this superhero movie actually had action! exciting action.
cool and creative action. he BEASTED ppl. I got goosebumps a couple times. he's a zalama. the movie was a half hour shorter than the first and has a half hour more action. bye bye boredom. there is dumb stuff for sure, but I had a lot of fun with this and would watch it again.
and now I wish MCU would do a ghost rider movie. Blade too (1 viewing).
