Genuinely, as a fan of the original my review would always be slightly biased. However, as a standalone film it is below average, not in terms of acting and star quality, but production. The script is shocking, far less content than the original movie.
As a comparison to the much loved original it is terrible. This is probably all you need to know. Even the cameos don't add value.
