Appalling film, and I say this as a devout Ghostbusters fan. Utterly hollow, ineptly scripted and plotted, cynically motivated and tonally all over the place. There is no life in this movie, it's just an empty series of 'hey remember this?' moments with insincere and ham-fisted mawkishness layered on top.
Jason Reitman was NOT the right choice for this at all. Another disappointing Ghostbusters misfire. All the manbabies bleating about how good this is have zero sense of what ghostbusters is. No scares, no laughs, no irreverence, no invention.
.. just nothing.
