Review of Ghosted (2023) by Metabones — 26 Apr 2023
Definitely a mixed bag. Don't get me wrong, the movie as a whole is a lot of fun but I found some particular action sequences weirdly cut together, horrible green screen effects, and some cliche and occasional sloppy writing present.
One of the big appeals of the film is obviously the 2 leads and the cast in general. Everyone does a fine job in their roles and they seem to be having enough fun. The plot too is fun, albeit predictable.
The comedy landed generally well with me for the most part. I enjoyed the gender swap on the traditional types the film was trying to portray but beyond that and the film's great cast and occasional comedic fun moments, it really didn't offer anything extremely memorable.
