Ignore the negative reviews by critics. If you are a fan of Unbreakable or Split, you will undoubtably love this movie. Critics are wrong to try to either compare it to other superhero movies or claim it is unoriginal.
It does not compare to other superhero movies BECAUSE it is original. There is no other take on superhero movies or comics like this trilogy. Glass manages to accomplish merging Unbreakable and Split in ways that seem consistent in tone and theme to both previous films.
This concluding movie of the Eastrail 177 trilogy feels to be the inevitable yet surprising, tragic yet satisfying end. A rare feat. Most triologies have a bad movie in them with ending that often do not feel consistent or satisfying or even an end.
This trilogy gets that right and is now cemented as one of my favorite trilogies of all time. Go see it.
