A species of alien cockroaches (lead by Fujita and Nishizawa) plan to create eternal peace, for themselves, on Earth by using King Ghidorah and a new monster named Gigan to destroy the human race.

However, these actions have captured the attention of Godzilla and Anguirus and they are called upon, once again, to be Earth's guardians.

There isn't much human character development and you will be questioning why these characters are even in this movie. What's the point of them? Gengo (Ishitawa) is a cartoonist who designs plans for the alien cockroaches' theme park, "Children's Land". His best friend is a young woman named Tomoko (Hishimi) who has a black belt in karate. He makes friends with rebels against the aliens, Machiko (Umeda) who is desperate to find her missing brother, and her friend Shosaku (Takashima) who provides the "comedy relief" but it is never revealed exactly what his connection is to Machiko.

Practically the entire second half of the film focuses on the monster fight. But the fight doesn't deliver much excitement. Most of the battle footage with King Ghidorah is stock footage from previous Godzilla movies and some of them have had a night filter added to them to make it look darker when it's so obviously suppose to be a day fight.

Despite what the title says, Godzilla doesn't do much solo battling with Gigan. Instead, he battles both Ghidorah and Gigan together because his ally, Anguirus, can't seem to handle himself. Anguirus is always getting in trouble, leaving Godzilla to rescue him. Basically, he is a wuss and a useless battle partner for Godzilla.

There are also times where Godzilla and Anguirus seem to be communicating with each other, but we can't seem to understand what they're saying.

This is definitely one of the worst Godzilla movies and I was anxiously waiting for it to be over because it was so boring.
