Review of Goldfinger (1964) by Ninon M — 07 Mar 2018
Overrated entry in the series. While it is so highly regarded, it simply does not surpass from russia with love or even dr. No, both of which have a better story and not so dependent on gadgets and gadget laden cars.
Oddjob ANd goldfinGer for all the praise they get, their flaws are a problem. ODdjob is too robotic, too cartoonish with no personality. He comes up short compared to the more human and memorable grant who gave us the best bond fight scene of all time in the previous film.
Goldfinger while showing appropriate lunacy for a bond film is Only intimidating when ofdjob is around and his demise was anti-climatic.
