Review of Gran Torino (2008) by Wolf-Peter C — 17 Jan 2019
Even if it's absolutely predictable that Walter Kowalski turns from a vicious racist into a compassionate fellow human being in the course of the story, even if the ending with the self-sacrifice of the hero is almost too good to be true (not necessarily for Walter Kowalski, but the bad guys all end up in handcuffs and face their just punishment): this is a movie that I always see to the end whenever I happen to see it.
I simply love it.
