Review of Great Expectations (2012) by Claude N — 26 Nov 2013
Good try to adopt the tale of Charles Dickens, but it cannot surround it nor add to it as expected. Visually it is so rich and relaxant with such a great costumes, locations, editing, but what is to be said is that presence of Helena Bonham Carter is the best thing in it to give the exotic spirit, as Ralph Fiennes' to give the emotions.
This is what really makes the movie by their efficiency and experience which is not clear in the young generation actors.
