I don't know if to blame it on myself but the trailer is misleading. Some scenes I don't even remember being in the film. There are things they do get right though. The lighting and visual depictions are very mesmerizing (especially for a cut trailer).

But when you piece all these together and leave a massive void between each with nothing particularly interesting to help advance the plot, it leaves for a very lackluster film. Not enough new content to bring back another retelling of a story such as this.
